Young men and women fight the wildfires which ravaged through the Overstrand area in January 2019. 

The blaze threatened many of the centuries old wine farms in the Hemel en Aarde Valley near Hermanus. 

The Wildfire Volunteer Fire Fighter Service battles infernos all year round, with some battles lasting up to 15 hours.
